We get it, it’s not always easy to juggle work and training and… life! We’ve put together some top tips to make sure you successfully complete your courses and are getting the most out of your GCA learning experience.
If you found these helpful, there’ll be plenty more to follow! Each quarter the GCA Newsletter will feature a Top Tips section for acing your next course and be sure to check back for our upcoming Learning Bites resource. We plan on delving deep into the psychology of learning, bringing you the best learning tips and tricks, fool proof time management strategies, Facilitator advice, GAClearn titbits, bite-sized previews of GCA courses and much more.
Children learn easily because they’re curious. Take their example and ask questions! Your GCA Facilitators have a wealth of knowledge to share, and you’re in a course with experienced people from across the globe. Take the opportunity to ask as many questions as you can.
Good time management is essential for successfully completing a GCA course. Spread the coursework out over the week and it won’t feel like it’s taken much time at all; leave it until the last minute and not only you’re rushing your way through, but you’ll miss out on some of the great discussions happening in-course. Use the suggested schedule your Facilitator sends out at the start of each Module, it really helps!
View NowMost GCA courses have a Self-Assessment Quiz at the end of each Module. Takes these quizzes as many times as you need to feel you’ve mastered the content. Once you get to the final graded Mastery Quiz, you’ll feel like you know the answers instinctively.
The GAC World is a supportive place. This extends to the Academy too. If you need a hand at any time during a course, reach out! Your GCA Facilitator, Line Manager and GLO are there to help, whether it’s a question about the coursework, or your schedule is busier than usual or any other issue. Our job is to support your learning journey and we’ll do our best to help you make the most of your course experience.
GCA has developed the Learning Pathway map to help you better understand the courses available to you, and which courses are tailored for your role.
