Certified Facilitation Roles

GAC Financial Reporting (GFR).

Crystal originally hails from one of the busiest port cities of India – Mumbai, but has been living in Dubai since mid-2011, having moved between India, Hong Kong and the UAE several times.

Crystal’s interest in Finance and Accounting led her to pursue a three-year Internship in an audit firm from 1998 to 2001. These were crucial years in increasing her knowledge in corporate accounting, auditing and taxation and helped her complete the Intermediate CA. However before she could go further, she immersed in the corporate world with her first full time job in the Oil and Gas Industry. The demands of the job and practical experience led to her studies taking a back seat. Several years later, she went on to pursue her dream of being a professional accountant and is now a qualified ACCA (UK) (2012-2014). She is also a member of ACCA institute and actively participates in seminars locally conducted by them.

Now with a career span of over 15 years in corporate accounting, implementing financial and operational controls, budgeting, inventory and cost accounting, system implementation and process enhancement experiences, she remains highly enthusiastic about the challenges in the finance field.

GCA Courses

Crystal currently facilitates the GAC Financial Reporting (GFR) course. As a diligent accountant who likes to challenge the status quo and recommend improvements, Crystal currently works in the Telecommunication industry. In the past she has worked in varied industries including Oil and Gas, commodity trading and the retail industry and believes that finance is the lifeblood of any business. She very much enjoys sharing her extensive skills with her GAC participants.

Personal Interests

In between working full time and managing her home, she enjoy walking, reading, baking cakes and trying to stay thin. And if someone could invent a way for her to read during a 4 km run she says she would be even happier!
