GACfreight.NET (GFT) is the advanced version of GACfreight that will eventually replace the legacy GACfreight system. GFT provides a practical understanding of the new features in GACfreight.NET. In particular, it will include learning how to handle general freight, purchase orders, receive goods, book freight shipments and dispatch goods. It will also feature learning modules in how supply base operations work, the use of GACtrack and how to produce reports from GACfreight.NET.
This online course combines hands-on training, video lessons and assignments, and successful participants will receive the GAC freight certification.
What you see in the GFT course will depend on your role and therefore the level of use you have for GACfreight. There are three roles; Sales user, Operations user and Finance user. The role you have been enrolled in will result in only the sections of the course (detailed below) that is relevant to your role being visible, as determined by your manager.
- Sales reports
- Freight export and import operations
- Global shipment tracking
- Data quality, compliance, import/export documentation
- Purchase order and warehousing
GCA eLearning courses require approximately five hours per week for all courses.
The GAC Group Management expects that all GAC employees are provided with sufficient time to complete the core requirements of each course within working hours.
